Strap Ons

Choosing a harness

Harnesses come in a few styles. Adjustable strap harnesses give a secure fit and good control, while elastic harnesses are quicker to put on and easy to adjust. Most hold the dildo with an O-ring, so check that the ring suits the base of the dildo you want to use.

Choosing a dildo for your harness

Look for a flared or suction-cup base that's wider than the O-ring. Beginners usually find a slimmer, medium-length dildo easiest to control. Dual-density designs from SilexD are firm enough to guide but soft on the outside, and Mina's curved silicone dildos are angled for G-spot or prostate stimulation.

Hollow strap-ons

Hollow strap-ons fit over a penis to add length and girth, or can be worn on their own.

Getting started

Use plenty of water-based lube, go slowly and keep talking. For more shapes and sizes, browse dildos, and for anal play, choose from our anal dildos.

Common questions

What size O-ring do I need? Ring sizes vary, so compare the ring's inner diameter with the dildo just above the base. The ring should hold the dildo snugly without pinching it.

Can I use a strap-on for anal play? Yes, with a dildo that has a flared or suction-cup base, plenty of lube and a slow start.

Who can wear a harness? Anyone. Harnesses are adjustable and fit a wide range of body shapes and sizes.

What goes well with a strap-on? A harness, if you don't have one yet: you'll find harnesses and vibrating strap-ons in Strap On Vibes. Some harnesses also have a pocket for a small bullet vibrator, adding stimulation for the wearer.
